What better way to start off the school year than with National Yoga Month? For more than 5,000 years, yoga has been traced all the way back to Northern India. It started as a spiritual practice but has become popular in promoting physical and mental well-being. Yoga, as practiced in the United States, typically emphasizes physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana). Depending on where you are located, yoga may look a little different.
