Siri -- voice recognition for writing
Word prediction - menu pop-up with suggested word completion
Speak -- speak screen or text options
Readability options: remove distracting side-texts when reading online articles; change colors, fonts, turn on synchronized highlighting
Zoom -- enlarge screen as needed
There are some very good "go to" learning apps for younger and/or non-verbal students that we employ in district:
Bitsboard Pro - a wide variety of skill based visual and text games for reading, matching, tracing letters and more. Custom boards can be made and shared.
Word Wizard - spelling; making words; matching.
Clicker Sentences, Clicker Connect, Clicker Docs, Clicker Writer: upwardly mobile apps to develop writing
Call Scotland Site has an interactive iPad Wheels for a variety of needs that brings you to the iTunes Store with descriptions of the app.
