SUPER CURRICULUM

All students, whether they take business studies or not, interact with businesses on a daily basis, be it as consumers or customers of Netflix, Clash of Clans, or Haribos. This selection of activities allows students to explore how businesses operate and can provide a rationale for their behaviour. The selection of activities has been chosen by the business and economics teaching team and is designed to both complement the curriculum and provide students with the ability to explore areas or topics that they are curious about. While there is an educational element to the activities, they are fundamentally designed to be enjoyable and to broaden the students' understanding of just how wide and encompassing the world of business is. The vast majority of students will, at some stage in their careers, work for a business, and the variety of activities should also demonstrate to students how their skill sets may match the many and varied roles required by businesses. Business requires individuals with creativity for marketing, problem-solving, numerical skills for determining profitability – pretty much any skill a student possesses will be required. We hope they are both enjoyable and informative.
