What is TAP?
The Tuition Assistance Program (or TAP) is a financial aid application for New York State schools. If you end up attending a CUNY, SUNY, or private college in New York, completing your TAP gives you access to up to an additional $5,165 / year in grants (free money!)
The easiest way to apply is to start your application immediately after submitting your FAFSA - you'll see a button that says "Start your State Aid Application." Otherwise, you can go to the application (link above) a few days after submitting your FAFSA.
