In order to make this process easier for students, requesting letters of recommendation will go like this:
Students will fill out the request form with their top choices for Wagner teacher recs.
The college office will let students know in an email if they are approved to ask these teachers for letters of recommendation.
Students will ask teachers for letters of recommendation in an email (or in-person if possible) using the template below.
If a teacher says yes to your request, teachers will write their letters of recommendation and upload them by the application deadlines.
All recommendation request forms must be completed by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30.
Fill out your request form as soon as possible - teachers will have a max amount of letters they write this year, so don't miss out on the chance to get your letter written by your favorite teacher!
Remember that your two main recs should come from someone that taught you in 11th grade and in a core subject (English, History, Math or Science).
Use the email template on this page to make sure your teachers get all the info they need from you.
If you're having trouble thinking about which teacher to ask, think about which classes you worked the hardest in last year. Even if you didn't get a perfect grade in everything, teachers will have seen that progress and can write about your perseverance (especially in virtual learning in the spring!)
If a teacher says no, don't let it discourage you - teachers are also incredibly busy this fall, so go to your next choice. (They might end up writing you a better one anyway!)
