Collecting Payments:
Payments should be collected from patients at the time of service as much as possible. Front office staff, billing technicians or therapists can accept and process payments.
Payments can be collected from the appointment window, the patient account face page or account tab. Most commonly the collections will be from front office staff or clinicians at the time of the appointment (the appointment window). The amount to be collected can be found in the alert window attached to the appointment or from the copay line under “insurance” in the appointment window.
Click the appointment window and click “More Options”, use the collect payment tab. Payments will frequently show as unassigned payments, this is proper and should not stop the collection of the payment.
