Klustorouter: A Robust Mobile Supercomputer You Can Build Today

A Klustorouter (TM to be applied) can be backpackable, and uses OTS (Off The Shelf) components clustering (Klust-) processors and storage (-store) and routers (-router) and comprises optionally battery powered:

    1. N-port WiFi Router where N might be 4 or 8 typically, modified with free DDWRT firmware optionally supporting flashcard mounting, with the router optionally modified to have an internal flashcard if it wasn't OEM fitted with a flashcard--see PAGE (to be provided;: for my favorite Linksys 150N router, and SALE of routers modified at my Etsy store) or search for available hobbyist pages for your particular WiFi router to add a flash card;

    2. M<<N M>=0 possibly billable Peripherals that can run even when no Nodes are connected:

      1. Printers,

      2. Plotters,

      3. 3D Printers,

      4. Desktop Manufacturing Workstations (e.g. CAM mills);

      5. Other Peripherals.

    3. N-M Nodes which are identical Ethernet (dock) and WiFi capable and optionally 3G/4G capable Notebooks or Slates of ix64 type having a (an Intel) PXE BIOS, with optional server style power-on reboot and mandatory on-timer reboot, running SciLinux 6 (7 is navigating a serious security problem from I think it was a Chinese attack) which is free, and VMWare Workstation Player 14 for which a free non-commercial license is availble at this writing, running in turn the OEM Notebook or Slate OS in a VM (a Virtual Machine), and other OSs like older OSs, e.g. XP, so you can use your aging software collection, in my case MathCAD 6.0 Plus, or the OEM OS, alternately or concurrently (not quite simultaneous--there is a Unity mode I have not explored well);

    4. cabling--which can be in-wall, there are signficant adantages to this, see PAGE to be created;

    5. DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Service) on the 3G/4G connections and optional VPN service there to provide a fallback when not docked and out of router range, see PAGE to be created;

    6. PXELINUX on the router card see PAGE to be linked;

    7. gPXE on the router card see PAGE to be linked to greatly improve PXELINUX boot speed;

    8. an optional internet connection for the router, or multiple connections, or none, see next item;

    9. if needed, optional internet connections for the 3G/4G notebooks/Slates,

    10. optional Google Print compatible peripherals preferred connected to the router even when CPUs are dockes (I believe this can generate an income stream using router scripts).

and provides:

    1. Parallel processing of applications running on any virtual machine on any Node enhanced by processor and RAM sharing built into Sci Linux (Scientific Linux), which is software that can boot from:

      1. 1) a USB Key (flash drive);

    2. 2) a memory card in the Node;

    3. 3) the hard drive of the Node, if installed there;

    4. 4) the router;

    5. 5) an internet location;

    6. 6) a CD or DVD drive

    7. Enhanced and simplified backup of entire virtual machines by simply copying them without copying excess empty memory;

    8. Operation as an Internet node relaying non-store-and-forward packets immediately on receipt via Ethernet, WiFi, 3G/4G. Amateur Radio, fiber, and / or conceivable means

    9. Cloning and distribution of virtual machines solving the Windows Update problem of

    10. waiting for download and updates on multiple machines and similar OME update problems;

    11. Adequate or superior processing power for virtual reality and games;

    12. The possiblity of an income stream, e.g. mining Bitcoin using excess processor cycles, billable peripherals;

    13. The possiblity of integrated GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) operation when drivers are available, for even more power;

    14. Extraordinarly flexible operation during docked, router-range, and global deployed configurations, with seamless transitions (I think unique to the Klustore concept);

    15. Transparent and integrated file sharing as a work group;

    16. Self-Replication via conventional documentation or a more dramatic streamable form, think The Matrix, which documentation can self-modify and evolve;

    17. Automatic rebooting in various configurations providing resistance to power outages;

    18. Redundant file storage so deletions can be reversed if so configured--files can be spread and duplicated across machines;

    19. The use of the notebook display screens as a monitor wall or virtual desktop for a single Node including a Node running Winows games or Android apps on an emulator.

"The Klustore" (SM to apply) would be a retail outlet that might be brick and mortar or online or both that sells Klustorouters(s).

My Klustorouter comprises:

    • An AT&T Foundation Small Business Wireless account for internet to the router and 3G for my Slates;

    • 2 Linksys routers 150N with 4 ports at 100Mbps and 10xAA NiCd backup each;

    • 3 Samsung XE700T1A-H01US ATIV Slates which are being fitted with ZTE AT&T LTE 4G connections (no-SIM) but were built with Option 3G connections (SIM);

    • 3 XE700T1A WiFi Slates;

    • In wall CAT5e 100Mbps cabling being installed including through wall cabling for exterior hardwire Ethernet;

    • 1 AT&T / ZTE Home Base with Internet which provides POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), 100 Mbps Ethernet, HSPDA, and LTE at around 35/8 Mbps;

So I am moving forward with my Klustorouter.

Trademarking this should not impede others and is not even possible unless I sell a Klustorouter or instructions across state lines.

One thing I hope to do is a drone dogfight

Another is decompression of DTM2006.0, the spherical harmonic compression of the entire Earth's terrain using MathCAD

Another is firmware for a drone that decompresses DTM2006.0 in real time to keep the drone out of airspace and away from terrain safely

This page is currently on limited view; providing access for a compensation would permit trademarking "Klustore (tm)".
