The weather did not affect the spirit of our students who had a great day at the cricket! Despite the delay in play, the girls took part in a fun indoor session, got autographs from the players & were enthusiastic Guards of Honour! Thank you Essex Women for the opportunity! 

50 of our Year 7-10 Netball players enjoyed a fantastic game in the season opener between London Pulse and Manchester Thunder with lots learnt from watching the professionals!

We took 42 of our Year 8 students to Manchester for a 4 day residential Netball & Rugby Tour! 

Day 1 we started off with a tour of Loughborough University ground which was inspiring and then we played in fixtures against Bolton School.

Day 2 we had a morning shopping in the Trafford Centre and then went on to play in more fixtures against The Grange School. We finished our evening off with a Taskmaster activity evening led by Mr Parkin.

Day 3 the girls headed to a masterclass with ex England international Jodie Gibson while the boys enjoyed an intense 2 hour training session. The girls then headed to the Belle Vue Arena to watch Manchester Thunder v London Mavericks and the boys watched a fantastic game between Sale Shark Women and Loughborough Lightning. We then ended the evening with a sports quiz hosted by Mr Knight!

Day 4 we stopped at The National Football Museum on our way home which was enjoyed by all and then before we knew it, we were back at Redden Court!

The students were impeccably behaved and represented the school to the highest standard, well done!

The Year 8A team had the pleasure of attending the London Mavericks season launch event. They worked through different stations run by the Mavericks players focusing on attack, shooting and defence, followed by some game play and a Q&A session with Kira & Ellie. 

The Year 8 girls were invited by the Essex Rebels to attend the #HerWorldHerRules girls basketball clinic! 90 minutes on the court followed by 30 minutes meeting the players and hearing about how they got to where they are today.

Our Year 7 basketballers had a great day at the O2 watching the women’s and men’s play off finals! Exciting games and exemplary behaviour made it a fantastic day! 

Our Year 7-9 cricketers enjoyed a great day out at Essex County Cricket Club. It was a chance to watch professional cricket and experience playing on the pitch which was brilliant for our budding cricketers!
