Music Therapy

As the school districts are facing a closure for an extended amount of time, we know that some of you are looking at Virtual Learning for many of your students.

As we are all aware, extended absences of routine for our students with needs, leads to regression. Every day closed without routine and services leads to longer term regression that are harder to regain. In addition, this is an unprecedented matter and instead of school being in session, we are looking at long term isolation from the needed social settings that our students rely on, and scheduled routines they thrive on.

At Expressive Journeys LLC., we are aware that Music Therapy is all encompassing. We can engage individuals using their whole brain and body. Altogether, through providing virtual sessions, movement, music, speech, Special Ed and more we can all make sure that the students are engaged and working on the skills the missing therapies/classroom instruction would have provided. This will lead to a lessened degree of regression.

We would like to share that we have established a Virtual Method for Music Therapy. To help our students continue to remain engaged, through music therapy with social interaction from a familiar face, without direct contact; we can provide videos and live therapy through Skype or Facetime with client’s parent involvement.

Our sessions would be available in a few formats. We can provide videos for students to watch for Enrichment Based Sessions, one to one sessions through skype or facetime, or content to be shared with your district through their own virtual website.

If you are interested in providing Live Virtual Sessions with your students, we are now accepting student information to be able to set up sessions. Billing for the districts would remain the same per the terms of our contract with the school district.
