With my piece ‘Unity’ I was inspired to work with female figures and express the virtue of beauty. After years of battling with an eating disorder, I wanted to create a piece that portrayed women as frivolous and carefree. The eroticism and pure nudity in this piece aim to unite females to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin and to be proud of who they are.

With Motherly Love, I was inspired to convey my mother’s wealth and success as a businesswoman, and how she can juggle the responsibilities of motherhood alongside it. The purpose of the subject gazing at the viewer is to engage the viewer to look at the visual representation of my mother feeling prideful for her success in her career.
