What are Access Decodable Readers?

The Wheelers ePlatform have crafted decodable reading materials and structured literacy tools embedded with the progressive development of phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. Young readers will become acquainted with the characters, like Pip and Pat, as they embark on exciting adventures.

The Decodable Reader program are levelled eBook readers, created specifically for beginning readers to develop their ability to decode text, using a structured phonics system.   These highly engaging books have been specifically and meticulously designed with beautiful imagery, engaging characters and a fantastic voiceover experience to take the reader on a journey of discovery using The Decodable Family and their friends - moving through levelled readers from kindergarten to independent reading.  With ten levels available, the program guides the reader on a journey from phonemes to sentence formation.  

How to Access Decodable Readers

Decodable Readers can be accessed by staff and students when they login to the Wheelers ePlatform.  This is the same ePlatform where you can access eBooks and Audiobooks.  Staff and students login with their library login and password.  

There is no loan limit with Decodable Readers. They can be used by the whole class at the same time.  Decodables are easy to access because they're already loaded into our ePlatform!   Check them out by selecting the Decodables tab from our home page. Go and have a play around!
