I beleive Assessment in art education is an ongoing and reflective process that values both artistic growth and creative thinking. Student learning is assessed through a combination of formative and summative practices, including observation, class discussions, sketchbooks, critiques, project completion, and self-reflection. Emphasis is placed on the creative process as well as the final artwork, allowing students to demonstrate their understanding of artistic concepts, techniques, and personal expression. Assessment criteria are clearly communicated and aligned with learning objectives, encouraging students to take risks, problem solve, and develop their individual artistic voice. Feedback is constructive, supporting students in refining their skills and deepening their appreciation of art and creative ability.
