Standard 3: Plans and delivers effective instruction and creates an environment that facilitates learning for students
ELEMENT C: Teachers integrate and utilize appropriate available technology to engage students in authentic learning experiences.
Incorporating both Standard 3 and Element C, I was able to see first hand how teachers can utilize appropriate technology in the classroom. Students were given an assignment to create their portfolio on google slides. Part of doing this they were able to engage in using technology in a new and inventive way to better their understanding of what's incurred in making a portfolio. I also got the opportunity to overlook their slides and leave comments and feedback on them. This helped me get a sneak peak into what grading might look like.
ELEMENT E: Teachers provide students with opportunities to work in teams and develop leadership.
Both Standard 3 and Element E go hand in hand when students are allowed the opportunity to help better each other by working together. Students were able to take a break from the work they had been working on and lay their pieces of art out for everyone to see. After doing so students were asked to walk around and leave feedback on sticky notes. I joined in on doing this as well. By doing this students were able to collaborate and take constructive feedback from their peers so they can then later alter their piece of art to better it in the future. (I don't have an artifact from this event). The artifact would have been participating in writing feedback on sticky-notes for the students.
