Spring 2

How does your garden grow?

Our topic this term is Plants and Growing. So far we have written our own Explanation texts about the Life Cycle of a Plant. This work has been inspired by the book The Flower by John Light as well as our work in Science.

Let's Investigate - Science

We have been investigating whether the plant we water the most will grow the tallest. We have planted bean seeds and will be giving each seed either 0ml, 20ml or 50ml of water. We made predictions and most of us think that the 50ml seeds will grow to be the tallest plant. We will be observing and measuring their growth to see if our predictions were correct.

We had a great time celebrating World Book Day on the 5th March. We read the book Jim and the Beanstalk and then took part in some fun measuring activities in our Maths lessons. We also wrote some Jim and the Beanstalk stories of our own.

Pictures coming soon!
