The aim of the Assessment train is to make the learning process visible, concrete and easy to follow, regardless of the level of knowledge and skills of the learners. The Assessment train is designed for use in pre- and primary education.
On the Assessment train, the teacher can open the wagons for the students to assess themselves. Learners’ self-assessments fill the train wagons with fun animal graphics.
Voice instructions can be recorded to the Assessment train, so it can be used with students that can’t read properly yet.
The teacher view of the Assessment train has the following features:
Lock: The wagon is closed and cannot be answered.
Paper clip: The learner has attached text, a picture, a recording or a video to his / her assessment.
Exclamation mark: Student’s assessment has not yet been approved by the teacher.
In the open / lock view, you can control which wagons learners can respond to.
You can accept multiple assessments answers at once.
By clicking on the wagon name, you’ll see a summary of the answers.
You can give an assessment on behalf of the selected learners.
View the train button shows a summary of learners’ answers.
Add new wagons. It is possible to record the name of the carriage for the students to hear. Media can also be attached to the wagons.
In the open / lock view, you can control which wagons the students can answer to.
The wagon-specific lock opens or locks the wagon to all students. A black picture of an open lock indicates that the wagon is open and students can respond to it.
Summary graphs’ principle of operation
In the teacher view, summary graphs include only the answers approved by the teacher.
