Thank you for completing the feedback forms. General themes emerging from the feedback are:
Overwhelming positive response to both Simon Buckingham Shum and the workshop sessions.
Requests to have follow up time to embed the learning.
Questions remain over "balancing" the message within the Pymble community in some key areas; sustainability, intellectual property, critical thinking skills
Need to work on examples specific to the year level and/ or subject that is taught.
Over the coming weeks the PL Advisory group will look at the feedback in greater depth to see where we can take action using the feedback.

Positive behaviour support (PBS) is progressively being adopted by state and national governments as a preferential model to address behaviours of concern displayed by individuals with diverse needs.
This program, comprised of three modules, will provide essential knowledge relating to functional behaviour assessment and individualised behaviour support planning. Overall, the program will equip participants with essential skills to develop and implement PBS strategies with confidence, and to meet part of the requirements for registration as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner

Supporting Improved Student Behaviour at School - Monash Education
School-wide positive behaviour interventions and supports (SWPBIS; also known as PBIS and PB4L) is a framework that brings together school communities to develop positive, safe, and supportive learning cultures for all students and teachers. SWPBIS is an equity-focused and inclusive framework that supports teachers and school leaders to meet the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of students in early childhood, primary, and secondary school contexts. Research shows that the implementation of the SWPBIS framework in schools is associated with improved student academic outcomes, improved perceptions of school safety, reductions in challenging student behaviour, and reductions in the use of exclusionary discipline practices.
In this short course, educators, school leaders, and other professionals will be introduced to the theory, practices, and systems of SWPBIS. Across three modules, course participants will learn practical ways to select, adapt, and implement practices and systems to support the inclusion and participation of all students using a whole-of-school framework.
