Applications for Experienced Teacher 2025

Significant Changes:

There are significant changes to the Experienced Teacher Process for 2025. The changes are designed to further simplify the process. To better understand the changes, review the information published by ISTAA at this link.

If you are interested in applying for 2025 Experienced Teacher accreditation this year, the following initial steps will be of assistance:

• Register for the new online module  Am I ready for Experienced Teacher Accreditation? 

This online module is at no cost and designed to assist applicants, supervisors and Principals to determine the readiness of a teacher to apply for Experienced Teacher accreditation.

• Meet  with their line manager to confirm their readiness.

• Meet with the Director of Professional Learning to discuss their candidacy. The Director of Professional Learning will also clarify readiness with the line manager.

• 2025 Experienced Teacher Manual will be available Term 1 2024

Reimbursement of Accreditation Fee

The Teacher seeking accreditation is responsible for the payment of both portions of the Experienced Teacher fee. 

Teachers who successfully complete the process can submit their two invoices, along with their notification of their Experienced Teacher Accreditation to HR and the Finance Department for reimbursement.
