To engage an artist to provide a significant professional learning opportunity for students and/or staff
Up to $5000
The purpose of this grant is to enable an academic member of staff to engage an artist to provide a significant professional learning opportunity for students and/or staff that will enhance learning as well as enriching the experiences of students and staff within the faculty and the College.
The grant submission may be for an amount up to $5,000 which must cover all costs associated with the Artist in Residence, including a replacement teacher if required.
The successful applicant is required to:
· Submit a final budget for approval prior to commencement
· Provide an update each term to the Director of Research and Development on project milestones, adjustments and expenditure
· Maintain records of expenditure (using a spreadsheet); update records with each invoice; seek approval for additional funds before expenditure occurs from Director of Research and Development; satisfactorily acquit all funds at the conclusion of the project.
· Submit a formal report to the Director of Research and Development by the end of the calendar year or upon completing the grant activity
· Write an article for the College research and innovation journal, Illuminate, within a year of completing the project
· Present at an appropriate staff professional learning event, such as the annual Pymble Research conference, within a year of completing the grant.
· Contribute to the College’s professional learning program, where appropriate

To enable a member of staff to engage an expert to provide a significant professional learning opportunity for students and/or staff
Up to $4000
The purpose of this grant is to enable a member of staff to engage an expert to provide a significant professional learning opportunity for students and/or staff that will enhance learning as well as enriching the experiences of students and staff within the faculty or the College.
The grant submission may be for an amount up to $4,000 which must cover all costs associated with the visit from the expert, including a replacement teacher if required. At the Principal’s discretion, there may be opportunity for more than one grant to be awarded.
The successful applicant is required to:
· Submit a final budget for approval prior to commencement
· Provide an update each term to the Director of Research and Development on project milestones, adjustments and expenditure
· Maintain records of expenditure (using a spreadsheet); update records with each invoice; seek approval for additional funds before expenditure occurs from Director of Research and Development; satisfactorily acquit all funds at the conclusion of the project.
· Submit a formal report to the Director of Research and Development by the end of the calendar year or upon completing the grant activity

The purpose of the grant is to enable a member or members of the academic staff to undertake a significant professional learning opportunity that will enhance his or her own learning as well as enriching the experiences of students, faculty and the College.
The grant submission may be for an amount up to $12,000 which must cover all costs associated with the professional learning activity including a replacement teacher should the activity occur during the term. All project activities must occur within the grant year period.
The successful applicant/s is/are required to:
· Submit a final budget for approval prior to commencement
· Provide an update each term to the Director of Research and Development on project milestones, adjustments and expenditure
· Maintain records of expenditure (using a spreadsheet); update records with each invoice; seek approval for additional funds before expenditure occurs from Director of Research and Development; satisfactorily acquit all funds at the conclusion of the project.

Up to $6 000
The purpose of this grant is to enable an academic member of staff to undertake a professional learning opportunity that will enhance his or her own learning and enrich the experiences of students within their Learning Area.
The grant submission may be for an amount up to $6,000 which will cover the costs associated with the professional learning activity that would ideally be completed outside College hours.
The successful applicant is required to:
· Submit a final budget for approval prior to commencement
· Provide an update each term to the Director of Research and Development on project milestones, adjustments and expenditure
· Maintain records of expenditure (using a spreadsheet); update records with each invoice; seek approval for additional funds before expenditure occurs from Director of Research and Development; satisfactorily acquit all funds at the conclusion of the project.
· Present a report at a Pymble Parents function, or equivalent, as invited
· Submit a formal report to the Director of Research and Development by the end of the calendar year or upon completing the grant activity
· Write an article for the College research and innovation journal, Illuminate, within a year of completing the project
· Present at an appropriate staff professional learning event, such as the annual Pymble Research conference, within a year of completing the grant.
· Contribute to the College’s professional learning program, where appropriate
