Please note that students who are performing do not require a ticket as they will remain in holding rooms for the duration of the show.

What to Bring

Students must bring all costumes required for the groups they are performing in.

Students should arrive wearing their first costume, with hair and makeup already completed.

Students attending classes prior to 5.45pm may complete costume changes, hair, and makeup preparation in the holding rooms.

All students are required to wear their hair in a low, middle-part bun for all performance genres throughout the evening.

Student Sign In

• • Junior students (Year 3 to 6) are to sign in at their holding rooms located in the Junior School classrooms across from the Dance Centre on Level 1.

  • Secondary students are to sign in at their holding rooms in Studios 3 and 4.

  • Note that holding rooms won't be accessible till 5.45pm.

At the conclusion of the performance:

• • Junior students must be collected by a parent/carer from the Junior School classrooms across from the Dance Centre.

  • Secondary students may sign themselves out independently from the roll in holding rooms.

Student Supervision

Students are required to stay at the College for the entirety of the schedule and are not permitted to leave for food breaks. Students will be supervised by the Dance Staff during allocated supervised rehearsal/break times.

Please provide permission via the MyPymble app so that you daughter may travel on the bus.

Uniform / What to Bring

Students are to arrive at school wearing their Dance uniform with their sports tracksuit over the top and may remain in this uniform for the remainder of the school day.

Students will also need to bring:

1. Costume

2. Jazz shoes

3. Any additional costume items/accessories required for their performance

Important Information

1. Students will travel to and from the event via school bus. Permission must be provided via the MyPymble app.

2. Students will be supervised by staff for the duration of the event.

3. This is a student-only event.

4. Unfortunately, due to venue capacity and the number of schools involved, parents are unable to attend.

5. Attendance and permission information will be managed through Edumate.

Under Garments

All students are required to have appropriate under garments. No under garment is to be seen under the Dance Costume.

All extra tights should also be purchased through Bloch Dance Stores, so they are all the same.

All junior students must have Bloch body stockings.

Caring for your Costume

• • This year, all garment bags have been named, and all costume items have name tags.

  • Please keep costumes hung up at all times.

  • Air out or wash costumes if needed between Eisteddfods.

  • Always check items in Garment Bag before and after an Eisteddfod.

  • Report any missing or damaged items to dance department.

  • Costumes are the property of Pymble Ladies’ College, and any misplaced or damaged costumes will be charged at full price.

  • Jazz White, Contemporary White and Navy – Please take extra care with makeup for white costumes.

Washing your Costume

Gently hand wash garments separately in cold water, using a mild liquid detergent. Take care with any Beads and Sequins.

Rinse immediately in cold water
Dry garment flat on a towel, in the shade
