Read through the slides and watch the video. You will need to apply this information to the next assignment, so take notes. Do Not click the "play" button. Instead, use the arrow buttons at the bottom of the slide to advance to the next slide.
Your first writing assignment will be a personal assessment. This is just a brainstorm and will be edited in later classes, but it gives your teacher a chance to get to know you a little better and find out what you are interested in and why.
Keep in mind the Grammar Checksheet. Make sure to proofread your assignment before turning it in. This will mean less work for you later!
ASSIGNMENT
You can start by handwriting this assignment. However, you must type it afterward in order to submit it.

2. In the far top left of the document window, change “Untitled document” to: Personal Assessment
3. Apply the necessary formatting changes as shown in the video in the slideshow (font, font size, double spaced).
4. Include the heading, page numbers, and title as shown in the video.
5. Write one paragraph (at least 5 sentences) explaining how you came to decide on this career for your paper.
As long as you created your “Personal Assessment” document inside your “English 4” folder, your instructor will be able to access your assignment.
However, first you have to let them know you have completed it. Follow the directions below to email your instructor:
1. Address the email to your instructor (contact information is located on page 1 of the workbook)
2. The subject should be include your last name and Personal Assessment
3. The body of the email should start with a greeting, such as “Hello”
4. After the greeting, let your instructor know that your assignment is complete and ready for them to look at.
5. Always include your name at the end of the email.
