Google Drive is one of the most popular cloud storage services available today, offering 15 gigabytes (15GB) of free storage space. When you store files in the cloud, they can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection. In addition to being able to store files on the Drive, you can also create files using Google Apps. These apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more) are free to access and use from any device. For this course, you will be creating documents in Google Drive and sharing them with your instructor. This is how you will submit certain assignments. Complete the following steps to set up your Google Drive account.
If you have an email address that ends with “gmail.com”, you already have a Google Account and can choose Option 2. If you have a different email address (yahoo, hotmail, etc.) you will need to create a Google account, so choose Option 1.
OPTION #1
OPTION #2
All of the assignments that you will be asked to type up will be done in Google Drive and placed into a folder.
Watch the video on how to create a Google Drive folder.
Go to your Google Drive and create a folder.
Name the folder: YourLastName - English 4
(for example: Gomes - English 4). Please use proper capitalization and spacing.
Because all of your assignments will be placed into your English 4 folder, you will need to share the folder with your instructor. By sharing the folder, your instructor will only have access to what you put into that folder.
Watch the video to learn how to share your folder.
Instructor email addresses: (capitalization does not matter)

Leah Gomes - LGomes@pvaec.org
As you continue on with this course, you will be given more information on how to create documents and use the applications that are available within Google Drive. If you have ever used Microsoft Word, Google Doc is very similar so you should not have too much trouble using it.
