PHYSICAL EDUCATION GRADING SYSTEM
All students will be graded on a 100 point daily system. Total points will be added based on a weekly grade which will be entered on the last day of the week.
20 points will be deducted for the following:

not participating in warm-ups
profanity
unsportsmanlike behavior

Proper Footwear - Students must wear appropriate athletic footwear in order to participate in PE. Examples include running shoes, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, cross-training shoes. Students may not wear boots, heels, moccasins, flip flops, shoes with no laces, or shoes with a marking sole.
Health Grading System
Each student will have a Marking Period of health.
During the Marking Period of health, a student will receive grades for all health assignments, as per the District Grading Policy.
Health assignments will be graded according to district policy.
The combined H/PE grades for all four marking periods will be factored into the student’s yearly H/PE grade.
Gym Excuses
The Nurse’s office will handle all GYM excuses. Extended gym excuses are permitted with a doctor’s note that has a start and end date. Doctor's notes with no end date will only be good for one marking period. Follow-up from the physician is required at the request of the Nurse or the student’s gym grade will become affected due to lack of participation/cooperation.
