The Prem Medical Centre is supervised by our medical team of 6 school nurses, who reside on campus. This ensures that someone is available 24/7. If a student is sick during the day, then the student can remain in the medical centre where the on-duty nurse will monitor them. All boarding students have a nurse on duty to care for them 24 hours a day. Before 8am and after 5pm, boarding students have access to the medical team in the Boarding Clinic.
Our medical centre and boarding clinic are equipped with examination rooms, beds, the latest medical equipment and medicine, along with AED's (Defibrillators).

Each year around 20 teachers and staff members are trained and certified in First Aid, including CPR and AED use. All teacher's assistants are trained and a course is also offered to Prem parents and our older students. There are approximately 40-50 trained first aiders among the Prem faculty/staff, during any given year.
At Prem we use the Emergency First Response (EFR) Training, the course we run is Primary and Secondary Care with CPR and AED.
