Lesson 1 - IA Equipment Overview
Sort equipment with topics for a brief data collection day. Like some mini kit for different data collection ideas.
1- google earth and GIS information
2 - water quality testing - the conductivity mini experiment.
3 - Air quality and PM probe
4 - secondary database sorting
5 - belt transect - like on land or in a river - we will do one next week
Lesson 2 - Make this topic research day - Internal Assessment Overview (2.5) Sept 4, 5 - Put out potential equipment in the room (probes, transect PVC, etc.)
Lesson 3 - Make this - context and planning day IA Topic Research - Sept 20 (sub lesson if needed), 24 - IA topic research day. - be sure to leave out some probes for this day so students know what is available (but not to take) - including air quality. See Lesson 7a documents. Complete the research and start a general plan for data collection.
