Big topic - Homeostasis.
ADD - Need a specific lesson or day of notes for homeostasis - could do this with the homer model, and move that lesson BEFORE the circulatory system lesson.
Lesson 1 - Respiratory System - Mar 23, 24 (possibly 2 days so students can practice with equipment more? Start Inside out.
Lesson 2 - Nervous System - Movie - Inside Out - Mar 27 (rethink the purpose of this lesson - plus the DVD skips??)
Lesson 3 - Homeostasis Model - Mar 28
Lesson 4 - The Circulatory System Part 1 - Mar 29 (weather dependent - switch with lesson 1 or 2 if needed) - Bio Common Assessment - Crit C
Lesson 5 - Systems and Dissection Basics - Mar 30
Lesson 6 - Frog Dissection - Apr 3 (Parts Printout)
Lesson 7 - Body Systems Model (2-3 lessons needed) - Mar 30, April 4 (maybe 5) - do any missing work if finished early
Lesson 8 (for HSS only) - Dialysis and the Kidneys - April 5
Wrap up unit? Closure - Career research project - all health science field jobs - find the article that highlights all of the tech positions and have students pick one to research and present. Could work in a group of 2, but that will add to the presentation overall. Incorporate body system connections and how those jobs help to identify or manage homeostasis.
