Jazz Band 2

Jazz Band 2 is open to ALL 8th and 9th grade grade students (no matter what instrument you play), and is open by audition to 7th grade students.  We play 2-3 concerts each year, and participate in the UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival in the spring.  Participants must be enrolled in a band, choir or orchestra class to be eligible to participate (with possible exceptions for piano and guitar)

All band and orchestra instruments are welcome!  We will have a cap on the number of rhythm section members. If there are more interested students than the cap, we will audition for those spots as well.  

A maximum of 2 guitarists, 2 pianists, 2 bassists, and 3 percussionists will be accepted for the group.  Percussionists should do the drum set audition AND the vibraphone auditions to be considered.

Auditions for 7th graders should be submitted by August 29.  Materials are available HERE.  7th graders, email your audition to me by the end of the day on August 29. I'm at cpeterse@psdschools.org 

For the 25-26 school year, MS Jazz Band will meet Tuesday and Friday mornings at 7:45.  Rehearsals will start September 2nd!
