Cheryl Lucas

Cheryl Lucas is a 7th grade science teacher at Ira Jones Middle School. She has been teaching since 2004 and opened Ira Jones Middle School. She is on the district subject area committee for science and was also technology trailblazer for the district.

Cheryl has her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Illinois Benedictine University, her Masters degree in Education with Certification from University of St. Francis, and her Masters degree in Educational Technology from Aurora University and has her technology specialist endorsement for K-8.  Prior to teaching, Cheryl worked at Brookfield Zoo for 10 years as a zookeeper and marine mammal trainer.

Cheryl is a Level 2 Google Certified Educator.
