Harvesting the School Garden
This week the Jr. high students enjoyed a Conicopia of fresh vegetables from the school garden. Pumpkins, hot peppers, corn, potatoes and carrots filled the arms of the students as they were able to see some of the results from the garden they planted last spring. I would like to thank the Davies family for all of the help and support with the garden this summer.
The Grade 8/9 Outdoor Ed class and the CTF Foods class dehydrated foods to be used on our camping trip as snacks. They dehydrated apples, bananas, and strawberries. They were shocked at how much water is actually in the fruit and how little was left after dehydration.
Campfire Cooking
On our Learning from the Land camping trip students made many of their own meals. This included bushpies, hotdogs, and smores.
