These three areas are particularly crucial for sparking children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive.
The three areas that come under the prime areas are;
Communication and Language development involves giving children opportunities a rich language environment, to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves and to understand to speak and listen to others in a range of different situations.
Physical Development involves giving children opportunities to be active and interactive, to develop their coordination, control and movement. It also helps children to understand the importance of being physically active and to help them make healthy decisions in relation to food.
Personal, social and emotional development helps children to develop a positive sense of themselves and others, to respect themselves and others and to form positive relationships with other children and adults. It also helps to develop children's social skills and to learn how to manage their feelings, to understand appropriate behaviour in groups, and to have confidence in themselves when playing alone or with others.
