Kalin Walling (Coach K) is in his first year Boys Basketball Coach at Lincoln High School! Kalin is a proud Lincoln alum who finished his high school career in Southern California before playing collegiately at Santa Barbara City College. Coach K began his coaching journey at Laguna Blanca School in Santa Barbara where he was on staff with current University of Portland Head Coach Shantay Legens. He later played a key role in elevating the program at Agoura High School, helping them to their first-ever CIF finals in 2021. He has worked with numerous NBA athletes while interning at Mamba Sports Academy in 2019. 

Coach K has extensive experience at the collegiate level as an assistant at the University of Santa Cruz and most recently as a Graduate Assistant at Sacramento State. Coach K is eager to have returned to Portland after 15 years in California, and plans to build a dynamic and competitive boys basketball program.

TRYOUTS NOV 17-20 FROM 6 TO 8 PM IN THE LHS GYM. 

ARRIVE AT 5:45 TO SIGN IN. 

STUDENTS THAT ARE INJURED AND WISH TO TRYOUT AT A LATER DATE MUST ATTEND.
