I have a background in outpatient therapy as well as previous experience in K-5 school based mental health counseling and short term crisis stabilization with clients 18+. My approach combines a person-centered, multicultural lens with grounding in evidenced based interventions such as DBT and EMDR. In my freetime, I enjoy playing and coaching soccer.
In the BH role, I hope to facilitate effective short term interventions and assessments with students who could benefit from behavioral support and those who need help accessing longer term mental health counseling. I look forward to connecting and collaborating with the staff here at Franklin towards that goal.
Students can connect with the Behavioral Health Specialist for short term support, typically 5 sessions lasting 20-30 minutes.
Students meet with the Nurse Practitioner 1st for a health screening, and then connect with the BHS
