Painting I focuses on the fundamentals of painting, such as, color mixing, brush techniques, and composistion choices. Students experiment with a variety of different painting media and techniques. They also study the styles of Impressionism, Realism, Expressionism, and Abstraction.

This is a term long course. Art Survey is highly suggested as a prerequisite, but not required.
