A bit about me: I graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, specifically Broadfield Social Sciences. While I have taught almost every type of Social Studies class offered at the high school level, AP Psychology was the class that became my specialty. This led me to my Masters in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Gifted and Talented, from the University of North Texas in 2019. I began working for the Portage Community School District in 2021 as a math interventionist and became the GT/Advanced Learner Coordinator in 2022. I currently live in Portage with my husband, three children under ten, two dogs, a cat, three chickens, and 4 koi. I enjoy being outside, being physically active, being active within community organizations in Portage, and traveling locally, nationally, and internationally. I believe that if I am to expect great things of my students, that I must lead by example, so I was very instrumental in bringing the Boys and Girls Club to Portage, serving on the Board, and as a volunteer, so that all students can have opportunities to continue their learning outside of the school day.
