Soil. Where it all Begins.
All of the words from the theme that is written above in bold must appear on the poster
Soil:
the top layer of the Earth's surface, like its skin, made from a mix of broken-down rocks, minerals, dead plants and animals, air, and water
What's is soil made of?
Minerals: These are tiny pieces of rocks and sand that give soil its hard, gritty parts.
Organic Matter: This is the stuff from dead plants and animals, like old leaves and bits of fur, that make soil dark and rich.
Water: This is the liquid in the tiny spaces within the soil that helps plants and living things.
Air: Just like water, air can be found in the small spaces in soil, which is important for living things in the soil.
Organisms: These are the living things in the soil, from tiny bacteria to earthworms.
