1. The fastest Mochi maker in Japan! Mochi is a gooey rice substance that my family makes as a New Years treat, but I think most folks know it as the outside part of Mochi Ice Cream.

2. Curved or straight? Check out this tutorial about how to creating parabolic curves: seemingly curved shapes made entirely from straight lines.

3. Snowflakes over time In this time-lapse video, watch snowflakes grow under a microscope.

4. Contact Juggling!? Oh my gosh. Watch this guy “juggle.” The video just keeps getting better. My big question: how much does that clear ball matter? Would it look as cool with another type of ball?

5. This guy absolutely shreds on the recorder! I've never seen a recorder played as a serious instrument, but this Vivaldi piece was written for the instrument.
