Accessing Videos and Folders in Panopto
System folders are synchronised and created via the Moodle Integration. You should not need to make any unit-specific folders; however, creators can make folders for personal and peer use. If you have any queries regarding visibility or access to a folder in Panopto, contact elearn@port.ac.uk

Online Guide
Under the title "Sign in to Panopto" you will see a dropdown box that offers three routes in to Panopto. For most users it will be simplest to accept the default: UoP SSO. Press the green "Sign in" button. Log in using your normal university login details. The first time you do this you will be asked to consent to federation of accounts. Press "Yes".
If you have any problems with this, or have forgotten your password, please contact IS for assistance (servicedesk@port.ac.uk)
Panopto video library home screen
The main section at the centre of the screen defaults to show the newest videos to which you have access. This is customisable via the Edit this page button, if you would prefer to see a particular curated list of videos on arrival.
The video library is structured for easy navigation:
My Folder - This is the area where you can find all the videos you have recorded. This area is completely personal to you and you can add folders and organise it as you see fit. Folders and videos here will only be visible to you unless you share them or place them in an area that is accessible to many (e.g. a module site folder)
Shared with me - This is where you can find any video that has been directly shared with you. This may also include folders from other creators where there is team collaboration and curation of content.
Everything - All content accessible to you.
2. Browsing Folders
Your visibility and access to folders and subfolders is synchronised with Moodle and will thus replicate the structure in Moodle. This is reliant on your enrolment in Moodle, so if you are unable to see a folder you believe you should have access to, please contact the eLearn team.
Here are some key parts of the interface:
Search: Allows you to search all folders to which you have access.
Pin Button: Allows you to keep the browse area open as you move between folders.
Red Dot: If you see a red dot on a folder, you have creator access to this folder.
My Folder: Contains all personal folders that belong in My Folder.
Everything Contains all folders to which you have access.
Browse: Clicking Browse will allow you to search for folders.
Go Up a Folder: Goes up to the next folder level.
Refresh: Refreshes the folder.
View: Sort by Grid, Image List View, Detailed Image View.
Sort By: Sort by names in alphabetical order or by the number of sessions in a folder.
Viewing: Shows the number of items on the screen.
Results: Defines how many results are shown on the screen at one time.
3. Folder Contents View
Subfolders are listed within their parent folder's content area and can be managed from within.
Additionally, you can click the Create button at any folder level to add a new subfolder in the current folder or anywhere else.
4. Folder Settings (Edit and Delete)
To access folder settings, click on the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner of a folder.
Here you can edit folder names, descriptions, sharing settings and manage the folder contents. You can also delete the folder or subfolder by going to Manage and clicking the Delete under the Delete folder option
