What is Pentecost?
Pentecost is celebrated about 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus. It is known as the birthday of the church.
On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. (Acts 2:1-4, NLT)

Create stick puppets to retell the story of pentecost.
You will be making a stop motion clip to do this and add a voice over. This task will be completed in small groups of no more than 4 people.
How to create a stop motion
Task 1: Name the 3D Shape
Full class session looking at 3D shapes. What are they called? What is a face, vertice and edge? Work with Whaea Danni to learn all about 3 D shapes then complete your follow up task and glue it into your book.
Task 2: 3D Modelling
Using sticks and bluetack create these 3D models. Take a photo of your finished shapes and create a DLO to share.
Task 3: Number Works
Complete your number works task today! You can write your answers straight onto the sheet and glue it into your math book. We will mark these together on Thursday. This is printed for you and hanging on the wall.
