This week we will be starting our learning to prepare us for the season of Lent. Lent is an important part of the Catholic liturgical year. It is a time to pray, fast and give alms. Lent helps us to prepare for Easter.

What do you already know about the Liturgical year and the season of Lent?

TUESDAY: Our commitments on Ash Wednesday. Around the room are sheets for you to add to. Read the prompt, take time to reflect and write your response on the sheet.
WEDNESDAY: Go through these slides then complete the activity on seesaw to share with your teacher and whanau.
THURSDAY: Praying in Lent.
FRIDAY: Almsgiving. Understanding the meaning of almsgiving. Use seesaw draw to connect the statements. Come up with a plan on how we as a class can give alms this Lenten season.
