We would like to tell you about our TAKE HOME FOLDERS and classroom communication. The Take Home Folders and occasional emails, will be our main form of communication. Please register with the PTO to receive additional school-wide information. Reminders of things such as school spirit days, fundraisers, and other school-wide events that don’t pertain to just our classroom will be through the PTO Remind App and Facebook page. School wide/PTO events can also be found on the district web page.
Your child should bring his or her Take Home Folder back and forth to school every day. This is important because we will use this folder to send home any homework, books and notes. Please take a moment each day to check your child’s folder when he or she gets home. We will also have your child bring home any completed work in this folder for you to see. Homework will not be returned. We check to see if it is complete, correct and if you have any concerns or questions.
The children will check the Take Home Folder each morning and put any completed homework and or notes that are into their assigned mailbox. This is especially important when you need to inform us of a change in your child’s dismissal plan. If your child will be going home a different way than they are supposed to (for example, not going to daycare, early dismissal) it is important that you let us know that morning since we are not always able to check our email during the day. If it is an emergency and you need to make a change after your child is already in school then you can call the main office. Additionally, if your child will be late or absent to school, please contact the main office directly for attendance purposes.
