Brain Break



Students can bring one healthy snack and water to drink for our classroom Brain Break. This will begin on the first day of school.  Please put your child’s snack in its own Ziploc bag or other small reusable bag labeled with your child’s name and “Classroom Snack.” Please pack snack/water bottle separately from lunch. A reusable (spill-proof) water container and snack may be brought in. The students are always given the opportunity to finish lunch at this time, too. 


Simple, Healthy Snack Ideas


-raw vegetables, such as celery, carrots, broccoli, green pepper,            

 or cucumbers

-fresh fruit cut in halves, such as apples, oranges, bananas,  

 grapes

-non-sugared cereals, cereal bars, snack mixes

-raisins, nuts, granola mixes, dried fruits

-cheese and crackers

-popcorn or pretzels

-rice cakes

-fruit snacks

-goldfish

-granola bars

-graham crackers

-veggie sticks
