I would like to tell you about our TAKE HOME FOLDERS. Your child should bring his or her Take Home Folder back and forth to school every day. This is important because I will use this folder to send home any homework, leveled books and notes from me or notices from the school. The Take Home Folder, email and our website are the main forms of communication that I will utilize this year. Please take a moment each day to check your child’s folder when he or she gets home. I will also have your child bring home any completed work in this folder for you to see.
The children will check the Take Home Folder each morning and put any completed homework and or notes that into their assigned mailbox. This is especially important when you need to inform me of a change in your child’s dismissal plan. If your child will be going home a different way than they are supposed to (for example, not going to daycare or going home early, etc…) it is important that you let me know that morning since I am not always able to check my email during the day. If it is an emergency and you need to make a change after your child is already in school then you can call the main office. Please call the main office if your child will be absent rather than email me for attendance purposes.
