Students under 18 are required by state law to have working papers before they can start a job. Working papers make sure the job is safe and appropriate for your age, and they’re available in the main office. To receive them, you’ll need a promise of employment that includes the employer’s name, job title, work hours, and a short description of the job. This letter must be on company letterhead and signed by an authorized representative.
