This unit is designed to assist improvement teams as they work to better understand their problem. Â
Through Unit 0.3, participants will:
Identify change ideas using research, practice knowledge and in consideration of the NIRN Implementation Drivers and the Six Conditions of System Change.
Select a change package, including professional learning from MSFA, to test. Fully flesh the plan out, refining your change package using the futures wheel and force field analysis activities.
Develop a suite of measures to accompany your change package.
Implement your change package in appropriate sized tests.
Planning an improvement project requires careful consideration of research and practice knowledge in conjunction with a deep understanding of the problem and the system that created it.
A suite of measures, including outcome, process and balance measures, is necessary to adequate assess whether or not a change is improvement.
A through communication plan between the improvement team and stakeholders is necessary for the success of the project.
