FIRST Lego League Explore

2019-20 was the first year that we offered FIRST Lego League Jr/Explore to our entire Primary building (1st-3rd) as part of their technology class. Banana Robotics FIRST Tech team came in and provided students feedback on their work at our first Project Expo. The second Project Expo was cancelled due to COVID, but Mrs. VanZandt, our former technology teacher, created a slide show to highlight the work that the students had done. Additionally, the work on Boomtown Build was highlighted in a news broadcast. The Theme for the 2019-20 school year was Boomtown Build.

2020-21 was the second year that we offered FIRST Lego League Explore to our entire primary building (1st-3rd) as part of their technology class. The entire school year was impacted by COVID, but work with FIRST continued. The theme for the 2020-21 school year was RePlay.

2021-22 is our third year that we are offering FIRST Lego League Explore to our entire primary building (1st-3rd) as part of their AgTech class. The entire school year is being impacted by COVID and grants to support our FIRST endeavors are harder to come by, but work with FIRST continues. This year's theme is Cargo Connect. Two grade levels will dive into beginning work with FIRST Lego League Explore in January. Meanwhile, the third primary class will begin work with coding Makey Makeys and then, when the other grades finish, will get their turn at FIRST Lego League Explore-Cargo Connect!
