Project Impact STEM Academy provides high-quality STEM courses and curriculum aligned to Idaho standards and organized into interdisciplinary frameworks.
PBL unit driving questions lead instruction, but high-quality research-based curricula are used to develop core content knowledge and background. When a specific curriculum product is not available, a variety of sources are used to construct a cohesive curriculum that meets state standards. Idaho state standards are used to guide the delivery of all core content areas. In areas, such as K-8 agriculture, where state standards do not exist, national standards are used to guide the delivery of appropriate content.
Our students are prepared to earn the Idaho STEM Diploma upon graduation.

Lawrence Hall of Science and Smithsonian Science educational products are the most rigorously tested elementary science products on the market today. They are built on the 5E model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate) and they have adapted easily to the 3-dimensional science instruction. Full Option Science System (FOSS) has also been shown to be effective in increasing academic success in El students. Both programs are dedicated to getting students involved in doing science. Smithsonian Science for the Classroom has gone one step further to redesign its STC program to incorporate driving questions.

Math with purpose is more engaging. IM mathematics is problem-based math instruction has been designed to encourage discussion, learning by doing math, problem solving in mathematics and real world contexts, and construction of arguments in precise language. The IM Curriculum is aligned to Idaho State Math Standards and to College and Career-Ready Standards.

Our ELA programs have been selected because they teach the WHY behind the English language. Students are not taught that they need to just memorize how to the spelling of words, they are taught all the spelling rules, allowing them to spell 98% of the English Language. They are also taught ALL of the phonologic sounds for the English language.
