Weekly Message from Mrs. Owens for Band and Chorus

Dear Band and Chorus Families,

It is so good to be back in a routine after the snow days. I have a few announcements to make regarding upcoming events.

1) LOI - Band students who have been at the last two rehearsals have received a Band Letter of Intent. Please make sure you complete this form. In order to be able to plan music for next year, I need to know what instruments (and how many of each one) to plan for. If your child missed rehearsal this week, they can pick up a LOI from me in the bandroom or you may print the attached copy. Please turn these in by next Friday, February 27.

2) CLUB PICTURES will be Monday, February 23. Please have your child come dressed in khaki pants or skirt, and their band/chorus polo. If your child does not have a band or chorus polo. Please have them dress in a black polo. Thanks!

3) We had 8 students selected for the Charlotte Metro Area Honor Band. Congratulations to High School students: Stella Navey, Judah Rummel, Silas Rummer and Ashton Sikes

Middle School students: Ximena Martinez, Kaylee Mullinax, Taisha Sylvia, Melani Warthen-Miller.

I will get the music to you to begin practicing as soon as it is sent to me!

4) Don't forget our concert on April 30, See the attached flyer.

Monday, February 23- 3:00-5:00 - Chorus Rehearsal

Tuesday, Febreuary 24- 3:00-5:00- Concert Band Rehhearsal

Wednesday, February 25 - 3:00-4:30 Percussion Rehearsal

Thursday, February 26 - 3:00-5:00 - Symphonic Band Rehearsal.

Friday, February 27- 3:00-4:00 - Lessons may be scheduled.
