Dear Band & Chorus Families,
What a busy first week back! We have been sight-reading new music, played at Senior Night, and learned some new skills! The Symphonic Band did some great work with syncopated rhythms. I couldn't be prouder of what they have accomplished.
Our Spring Concert has been approved. Save the Date: April 30. Plan for a 6:00 report time and a 7:00 start time. More information will be given as we get closer to the date.
We will NOT be playing at Middle School games this week. There are NO JV/Varsity home games this week. Enjoy your week off from games!
Here is our schedule for 1/12-1/16:
Monday, January 12 - 3:00-5:00 - Chorus rehearsal - This is our first rehearsal after the break, please come ready to work!
Tuesday, January 13 - 3:00-5:00 - Concert Band (Beginner Band) - We will work in our Essential Elements Book and on skills we will need in the music for our Spring Concert.
Wednesday, January 14 - NO PERCUSSION REHEARSAL TODAY.
Thursday, January 15 - 3:00-5:00 - Symphonic Band - Great progress last week! Let's continue working on syncopation and other skills to advance our playing.
Friday, January 16 - NO LESSONS OR REHEARSALS TODAY.

Monday, January 26 - Last regular scheduled Pep Band Performance (Athletic Schedules are subject to change. You will be notified of the dates of play-off games as soon as they are scheduled)
Friday and Saturday, April 17 & 18 - Charlotte Metro Area Charter Honor Band
April 30 - Spring Concert
