Weekly Message from Mrs. Owens for Band and Chorus

March 30-April 2

Dear Band and Chorus Families,

Thank you for your consistent participation. This week is an important week for us. Once we come back from spring break, we will have very few rehearsals left. Please make every effort to attend rehearsals this week.

Also, don't forget that I must send in registrations and money this week for the Solo and Ensemble Festival. If your child wants to participate, please complete this form by Tuesday morning at 8:00. I will work on the paperwork during my planning on Tuesday.

Solo and Ensemble Festival 2026

Monday, March 30 - 3:00-5:00 - Chorus Rehearsal - We will work on reading our introductions. Also, we will focus on word pronunciation and enunciation.

Tuesday, March 31 - 3:00-5:00 - Concert Band - With only 3 rehearsals left, we MUST fine tune everything, practice our introductions and make sure we are clear on what we need to accomplish in our limited remaining rehearsals.

Wednesday, April 1 - 3:00-4:30 - Percussion Rehearsal - Let's plan to work on Symphonic Band music today.

Thursday, April 2 - 3:00-5:00 - Symphonic Band - Including this rehearsal, we only have 3 remaining rehearsals. We are doing great, but we still have some details to iron out. We need to practice our introductions and make sure parts fit together correctly. We need to reinforce articulation and dynamics. Please don't miss this one!
