Sixth grade music classes teach elements of music including: beginning note reading, music vocabulary, instrument families, and tempo and dynamic markings. In addition, music of the Baroque period to the Romantic period is part of music discovery in sixth grade, including the works of: Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frederick Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Frederic Chopin, and Robert Schumann.

Bach projects were due last week. If you had extended time due to absences, your deadline will be this week. We started reading about the composer George Frederic Handel. We will continue learning about Handel this week and listening to his Water Music and discovering the history behind this music.
