Week of September 22-25
Last week students studied the C Concert Scale and had a test on the C Concert Scale Patterns Page we worked on in class.
We also worked on cut time in The Victors, a piece we are considering for the Homecoming Parade
We experimented with mutes on brass instruments to change to the tone of "Taps" in "Legacy of Heroes," a piece we hope to present at Pinnacle's Veterans' Day observance.
This week we will be working on the concert A-flat scale and the patterns of that scale. In addition, we are working though our Essential Elements Book to to review any skills we have learned and to close any gaps in our musical knowledge and ability.
On Mondays, students will be allotted class time to work on their Band Karate levels. Students should come to class prepared to record the next two or three pieces toward that goal.
