Seventh Grade music class reviews many of the elements of music learned the previous year. Seventh graders pick up where sixth grade left off with music of the Romantic period. Some composers that will be studied are: Johannes Brahms, Hector Berlioz, Franz Liszt, and Richard Wagner. Music and National Identity will be studied and the semester will culminate with a study of blues and jazz.

Week of 11/24/25-11/28/25
Last week we finished our study of Hector Berlioz and his Symphonie Fantastique. Monday we will have a short review session and a test on this unit.
On Tuesday, we will have a music activity based on Thanksgiving.
When we return from Thanksgiving break, we will begin our Jazz Unit which will likely take up the remainder of the semester.
There is a final jazz project that will be due, details will be given at a later time.
School will be closed November 26-28 for Thanksgiving Break. Have a great Thanksgiving!
