Description: In this project, you and your partners will apply what you learned in the HTML/CSS unit to design a landing page for the PWComputerScience.com site. The landing page should provide the same access to the individual students’ websites that are currently posted. The desired aesthetic for this page is clean and simple. Ideally, it can be expanded to include future projects from CS8. The desired color theme is light-color background and medium-color foreground. Please avoid using bold colors on this page.
Brainstorming: To brainstorm, we thought of simple but clean design to apply to make this landing page. First, we designed a Canva page to create a background for the page. We decided on a plant-filled background with a dangling "Portfolios" on the top.
Procedure: We began by doing the basics: coding the table. We tried to copy how Mrs. Tran's table looked on her website, and we went on from there. We then had to individually input the links into the code. Lastly, we focused on the aesthetics with positioning, styling, and coloring.
Reflection:
S- My strengths in this project were time management and motivating my group throughout.
O- Some opportunities to improve my work were to think of more to add to the background of the page.
U- I understood how to add and style table with the background and to add tables to HTML pages
L- A limitation I encountered was not being able ask the teacher for help whenever an difficulty hit.
In this project we applied 2 WISCR points: clear-communicators and critical thinkers because we had to think critically and talk clearly to get the job done.
The second html photo is only on part. It keeps going on and on like this for all the rows in the table.
